Board Refresher Course
Metrotest are an authorised provider of this course which is run for those who the EWRB have issued Electrical Registration to, but still require a Practicing Licence. This will normally be those doing prescribed electrical work as defined under the Electrical Regulations.
To be eligible for this course you will need to provide your Electrical Registration number. All electrically registered people in NZ doing prescribed electrical work must hold NZ Electrical Registration and a current Practicing Licence and a refresher course is required every 2 years to get a Practicing Licence.

- Testing and Regulatory Requirements for the Sale of Second-hand Appliances
This course is designed for people wishing to sell second-hand electrical equipment such as
second-hand shops, recycling centres and opp shops. - Associated Trades
Designed to enable registration under ‘Associated Trades’ via the EWRB. This course will be very
helpful for plumbers, gas fitters and the like. - 3 Phase Testing
The course covers testing of 3 phase distribution equipment and generators along with other 3
phase items. This course will be particularly useful for those who have hire fleets of
generators/distribution boards and the like and construction engineering companies. A pre
qualifier to enrolment will be having done an AS/NZS3760 Competency course and proved test
experience
